Most people will have some alcohol at least every once in a while. Perhaps a couple of beers at an office party or some wine at a friend's afternoon cookout. Who has not had a couple of drinks while out for a nice dinner at a restaurant?

Drinking alcohol can be fun and stress releasing. The problem usually comes when it's time to go home. Usually that means getting in a car and driving it on a public road. The problem is that we often cannot tell whether or not we are impaired. We don't "feel" drunk and we seem to be able to operate the vehicle, so we assume all is good. The problem is that we are dead wrong.

Alcohol slows down our reflexes and skews our judgement. As a result drunk drivers cause accidents. Unfortunately, accidents kill people, lots of people.

Over the last couple of decades our society has slowly and steadily clamped down on drunk drivers. Getting a DUI will cost you almost $20,000 when all is said and done. In addition, if you are a repeat DUI offender, you may be looking at a stiff prison sentence. It's not like the old days when a DUI was no big deal. A felony DUI could land you in prison and when you get out, you will lose your job. Most employers cannot employ convicted felons.

The good news is that now you can get an inexpensive device that will let you know when you are too drunk to drive. This device could easily save your life and keep you from getting a DUI.

Buy an alcohol detector and put it in your car. That way it's there and ready whenever you may need it. They are super easy to use and could save your life.

Alcohol Detector - how to avoid a DUI arrest

This is actually pretty funny.  A quick heads up.  It's a little raunchy and perhaps sophomoric but still worth watching.  It's a demonstation of how to use an alcholol detector while you are driving (not a good idea, use it before you drive and then don't drive if you are drunk).  Remember, an alcohol detector can keep you and your friends alive and it can help you avoid a DUI arrest.  Getting arrested for DUI is a total bummer and will cost you a fortune. Don't do it.
